Chocolate chip cookies!

Sweet and salty, one of the best combinations you could have! This cookie recipe I’m sharing with you today is the best of both worlds, and a bonus you can use whatever type of chocolate you like. I have tried this with Reese’s pieces and milk chocolate chips and I can’t decide which is yummier!

These cookies disappear fast in our house, it’s hard to stop yourself from eating just one, kind of like Lays potato chips, ha.

The ingredients are things you have in your panty so you can whip these up in no time, for a snowy day activity or unexpected guests. And they freeze well too, so you can make a big batch and throw them in the freezer, but who are we kidding they probably won’t last long enough to make it there. They are THAT good, I promise you will love them!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 3/4 soften butter

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 brown sugar – lightly packed

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

1 cup of chocolate – your choice

Directions:

In a bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt and sugar until combined.Next add the brown sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla.

Mix with your hands until well combined, this is my daughters favourite part, it can get messy!

When everything is well combined add in chocolate. Form into small balls and place on cookie sheet, preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool for two minutes then remove from pan.

We ended up dividing the cookie dough because I didn’t have enough chocolate chip on hand and used Reece’s pieces for the other half.
