Halloween Ghost Banner
I am having so much fun with the Instagram collab, week two is all about Ghosts and Goblins. If you missed week one check it out here.
Without further a-boo ,haha, lets get started!
Here’s what you need
- Felt – black and white
- black thread
- sewing needle
- glue gun
- polyester stuffing
Start off by tracing your ghost template onto your felt. I free handed my ghost, it was just easier for me, but there are many free templates online for ghost.
Once you have all yours ghosts traced onto the felt, start cutting away. *Tip* I made the mistake of not cutting the black sharpie off so I had to go back and recut most to get rid of the sharpie marks. So make sure you cut off the black marks. You can see in the picture below.
Now you can start sewing. I am no expert sewer, using a basic stitch I made my way around my little ghost buddy, but made sure to leave an opening at the bottom to stuff him.
How much you stuff him is up to you. If you want chubby ghosts then add extra stuffing!
Once all the little guys are stitched and stuffed its time to add the eyes and smile. I used black felt for the eyes and glued them on. Before I glued them on I added a stitch of white thread to add some sparkle to their eyes. **Sorry I forgot to get a picture of this step, but it’s pretty easy.**
These cuties are done, lets get working on the ‘BOO”.
Again, I free handed my letters and traced them onto black felt using white chalk.
Now that everything is all cut out, lets assemble!
I love how this Halloween Ghost banner turned out, these little ghosts are adorable,
