Mother’s day is just days away and I am so excited to share what my Mothers day set up will look like this year.
I’m so excited to be hosting, it gave me an excuse to go all out and make everything look pretty.
Best of all, almost everything I used was purchased from Dollar Tree, yup you read that right, the Dollar Tree! Can you believe it, the Dollar Tree in my area has really upped their game.
They has so much cute party decor, I am so inspired every time I walk in, which is far to often, they are staring to know me by name!
This sounds sponsored but I promise you it’s not!
The place setting
I made some simple 5 minute DIY utensil envelopes , I will do a post on this one soon. All you need is some scrapbook paper and tape!
The placemats are from The Dollar Tree along with the pretty plates and the cutlery.
What’s in the bag – gift idea
Since I was hosting 3 others wondering Mamas I decided to have a budget and not go all out on gifts. I just wanted to show them some love with a small token.
I got them each a cute floral water cup from Michael’s and sweet little watermelon note book to go with it.
Of course I got myself a present to, I just couldn’t pass them up!
Guess what?! Those cute gift tags are available on the blog – Mother’s day gift tags.
The centrepiece has to be my favourite!
These flower pot cupcakes from Michael’s are the cutest and the cupcakes were made by my daughter, proud mama moment!
I have an easy cupcake recipe here if you are looking for a quick and delicous recipe.
The chocolate is Nutella, thats a trick I like using when I just need a small amount of icing, saves me so much time.
I love adding special touches when I am preparing events. Adding a menu adds a personal touch and makes the guest feel welcome.
It doesn’t take much time at all, I made these menu cards for each setting in less than 5 minutes, OK maybe 10 minutes if you count printing and cutting them out.
The beautiful font and flowers are courtesy of Angie from Angiemakes.com, if you are looking for free beautiful watercolours, I highly recommend you check out her site.
Floral letters are so popular right now and these ones here are so easy to make! They are simple but have the potential to add so much colour and personality to any event.
I have a DIY floral letters tutorial on the blog, you should check it out!
I hope you found some inspiration and ideas for Mother’s day.
