Welcome to our Spooky stoop! I wanted to share how I put together a Halloween front porch on a budget using things I had on hand, a dollar store DIY and things you can get for free from Mother Nature!
How to create a Spooky Stoop
The most important thing I can tell you is to use things from around your home. I am a big advocate of shopping your home to reuse and repurpose items you may already have.
Next week I am sharing the tutorial on that wreath you see on the door, so stay tuned.
It’s all in the details
I stuck some dollar store skulls inside the lanterns to give it a creepy look, next I added in some LED tea lights and finished it off by placing in some twigs I got from Mother Nature.
Speaking of Mother Nature, I got all of my branches from a generous friend who gave me free rein of his acerage and I had my pick of sticks, twigs and stumps!
I absolutely love how rustic, yet spooky this turned out. When I started planning I had sort of a spooky forest in mind and I think it turned out quite SPOOK-TACULAR!
I placed large branches on either side of the door and wrapped cob webs around them to give it an abandoned, unkept look. And of course you can’t have cob webs without spiders. Those little plastic guys are from the dollar store, along with the bats, see totally inexpensive!
It wouldn’t be Halloween without some traditional orange pumpkins, the pumpkins add a pop of colour to the earthy colours. I love how the pumpkins look sitting on the tree stumps.
Here’s a look at the Spooky Stoop at night.
I barely had to purchase anything to put together this Spooky Stoop. The only thing I recommend purchasing if you don’t have one yet is a lantern. They add such a different spooky factor with the skulls sitting inside and the LED tea lights glowing. EEK!
I hope you found some spooky inspiration and ideas to put on your front porch.
