Are you ready for Thanksgiving yet? Here is Canada our Thanksgiving was last month, but I just couldn’t resist making these adorable wooden Turkey Place cards.
Keep reading if you want to see how easy these are to put together!
All you need is some card stock, colours of your choice, for the feathers, some googly eyes, adhesive and of course the wood slices. This part is completely optional, you can turn these cute little guys into magnets by adding some peel and stick magnets from the dollar store.
I free handed the feathers, and cut them out, but using a cutting machine would make life much easier, haha.
You can download a free feather template at the bottom of this post.
I used 4 different colours of card stock, it’s all personal preference you can just use one or two, now that I think about it a Fall pattern cardstock would make cute feathers as well.
After you have all your feathers cut, it’s time to gather all your supplies, and start assembling.
Start by arranging your feathers in the placement you would like. Initially I was going to do 4 different colours, but after placing them I decided that 2 colours looked better. Once you have them arrange the way you like you can glue them into place.
Next you can glue the eyes in place, if you don’t have googly eyes, no worries you can just draw some eyes.
This would be a fun craft to do with the kids, you can have them draw or paint the eyes on, along with the beak.
For the beak I simply cut a small triangle piece out and glued it in place.
And thats its, you have some super cute wooden Turkey place cards for your kids table setting!
